TODAY IS THE DAY!!!!!
OK I did it! I took the first step toward getting my act together and being a more healthy person. I got up and went walking. Now, the only reason I got up that early is because I need help with this new plan and my girlfriend can only walk at that time since she has to get ready to go to work. The trick is to keep doing this 5 days a week. The only reason it is going to hopefully work is that I know she is walking over to my house and waiting for me outside so I will feel guilty if I don't get up and walk with her. By the way, that is the only reason she will get up and walk over to my house also, so she won't feel guilty. See the buddy system does work! :)
Now you may think she does not look that big in her pictures and why does she need to walk. Well, the truth of the matter is I turned 48 on July 1st. I weigh the most I have ever weighed in my life. I don't have any energy and I feel like I am falling apart. So I need to pick up the pieces and get my act together before I do have health problems. I also want to enjoy my life as I get older and I believe exercise is what keeps you healthy. So TODAY IS THE DAY!!! I start a new life style.

What a coincidence! I started walking yesterday! I walked this morning also so hopefully I'll keep it up. I've always been active and this last year I've been the most inactive I've ever been. I hope to eventually walk/run. I was even going to title a post soon, "I began!". I see you added me to your neighborhood and I wanted to see who you were. I saw this post and it made me smile. I turned 46 this year so I hear ya on wanting to do this for the health of it. :-)
