Best of luck with your exercise! It is difficult to stay motivated but hopefully your friend will help you. I try to get to the gym for 30 minutes of exercise as much as possible, but I work really odd shifts and long hours so it can be difficult sometimes. it will be great though, you'll end up feeling better & more energized throughout the day!

What a coincidence! I started walking yesterday! I walked this morning also so hopefully I'll keep it up. I've always been active and this last year I've been the most inactive I've ever been. I hope to eventually walk/run. I was even going to title a post soon, "I began!". I see you added me to your neighborhood and I wanted to see who you were. I saw this post and it made me smile. I turned 46 this year so I hear ya on wanting to do this for the health of it. :-)

Maybe we can keep each other motivated. i always exercised and I use to manage a fitness center. when my husband died 3 years ago while out jogging of a heat attack at 42 I quit exercising. Well actually I quit living. But, I just got married again in February and I am coming out of a fog I have been in the last few years and am ready to be healthy and active again...Good luck to you!!!
Walking is a good, cheap form of exercise. I need to do more!
